This page provides an index of all Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) Context Camera (CTX) images that have been released with a caption. MRO launched on 12 August 2005 and began orbiting Mars on 10 March 2006. Following several months of aerobraking to achieve its circular, polar orbit, MRO will begin its Primary Mission and MARCI images will be acquired and released on a routine basis. The Primary Mission begins in October/November 2006 and runs through November 2008. The Primary Mission is followed by a Relay Phase, currently planned to run through December 2010.
