The Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) Mars Color Imager (MARCI), shown here with a gloved hand for scale, is designed to take pictures that monitor the weather on Mars for at least 1 martian year, observing the entire planet every day at 5 visible and 2 ultraviolet wavelengths.
