(3) July 2008: The MSL MARDI has been completed and delivered to JPL for installation on the new Mars rover. It was the first MSL science instrument to arrive at JPL. See the 17 July 2008 press release.
(2) November 2007: The MSL MARDI will fly to Mars. It has been put back on the MSL payload at no extra cost to NASA. For details, please see: Mars Descent Imager Update, Phoenix and MSL MARDI.
(1) September 2007: NASA decided to descope MARDI from the MSL payload. In other words, MARDI was removed from MSL as part of an effort to reduce the overall cost of the mission.
