The Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) Mars Hand Lens Imager (MAHLI) will
acquire color close-up images of rocks and surface fines at the MSL
landing site. MAHLI will primarily be used to
obtain microscopic views of surfaces at resolutions between
12.5 and 75 micrometers per pixel. This engineer's rendering
shows the MAHLI camera head.
