ATLO Process Continues
Stacking the Spacecraft and Weighing "Jaws"
In February, the Nadir Equipment Deck (NED) was mated to the Equipment
Module, and the completed Equipment Module was then mated with the
propulsion module. A set of images of this process can be found at

During February, a spacecraft mass audit was conducted in anticipation
of delivery to the launch vehicle manufacturer the "present best
estimate" of the launch mass. It was discovered that the mass of the
MOC 2 handling fixture (affectionately called "Jaws") was not known to
sufficient precision. After discussion, JPL and LMA management
decided to risk the removal of the cover in order to weigh it.
